Pipeline Dreams: High School |
Pipeline Dreams: High School aims to foster and sustain a pipeline of diverse physicians, scientists, and health care professionals to decrease health disparities by increasing diversity in medicine.
The 12-week course will expose students to concepts of health equity, research, and various health allied careers and challenge them to think critically about a health disparity of interest, creating and presenting a research proposal virtually to compete for a summer opportunity after the program.

The Distance Learning Center STEMM Prep Project |
The Distance Learning Center (DLC) is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to increase the number of underrepresented minorities (African-Americans, Mexican-Americans, Native Americans, Native Hawaiians and Mainland Puerto Ricans) in science, technology, engineering, math and medicine (STEMM).DLC STEMMPREP PROJECT – Students gain exposure to STEMM by working in STEMM based labs during the summer starting as early as the seventh grade and based upon performance are invited back each subsequent year through college.

Inspiring Girls Expeditions |
Inspiring Girls Expeditions leads unique, FREE, wilderness science education programs for high school girls. Each summer a team of 8-9 teenage girls and 3 instructors spend 12 days exploring and learning about glaciers and the alpine landscape or fjord in which the program is based. They conduct scientific field studies with professional glaciologists, ecologists, mountain guides, and artists. |
