An internship or volunteer opportunity is a great way to explore a field you might pursue in college.  You can gain experience and network with professionals in your area of interest.

Every college has specific requirements for GPA and SAT scores for prospective students.  What will make YOU stand out from thousands and thousands of other applicants who all meet those requirements?  A summer program, internship, or volunteer opportunity will certainly help.  Colleges want students who are involved in activities in their community.
